This model is a One Cut, the upper of which is made in one piece, so that it can only be made by hand. The original Budapest last is characterised by its high, slightly forward-tending tip.
The upper leather consists of aniline-dyed buffalo leather. The surface has a robust structure with a strong grain. It is one of the most resistant types of leather. Very soft and supple making it ideal for sensitive feet. Surface develops a vivid pattina over time. In the past it was frequently used to cover suitcases and overseas luggage because of its sturdiness.
The insole is stitched-welted. Beneath the insole is a layer of cork, providing additional resilience and insulation.The triple outsole consists of two layers of leather and a rubber sole.
This model has proven itself for 60 years now and is regarded as one of the absolute classics in the collection.
