Swisscalf is a thick and oily waterproofed, aniline-dyded calf leather, which is very resistant and water-resistant. This leather is ideal for rubber-soled all-weather shoes. Due to it high natural fat content this leather, despite its robustness, soon adjust to the shape of the wearer's foot.

The sole is double-stitched with a characteristically Hungarian plaited welt. The characteristic plaited welt is a complicated double stitch, into which two leather strips are plaited by hand. This is an expression of typical Hungarian craftsmanship. Beneath the insole is a layer of cork, providing additional resilience and insulation.The double outsole consists of two layers of leather and a rubber sole.

This shoe fit has proven itself for 60 years now, offering plenty of room for the toes and the ball of the foot, and is excellently suited to a high arch.
