This model is a Boot with wing cap and perforations. The original Budapest last is characterised by its high, slightly forward-tending tip.
Swisscalf is a thick and oily waterproofed, aniline-dyded calf leather, which is very resistant and water-resistant. This leather is ideal for rubber-soled all-weather shoes. Due to it high natural fat content this leather, despite its robustness, soon adjust to the shape of the wearer's foot.
The sole is double-stitched with a characteristically Hungarian plaited welt. The characteristic plaited welt is a complicated double stitch, into which two leather strips are plaited by hand. This is an expression of typical Hungarian craftsmanship. Beneath the insole is a layer of cork, providing additional resilience and insulation.The double leather outsole is strengthened by 84 brass nails per shoe, in the 6-nail pattern typical of Dinkelacker.
This shoe fit has proven itself for 60 years now, offering plenty of room for the toes and the ball of the foot, and is excellently suited to a high arch.
